We read the book The Huge Bag of Worries by Virginia Ironside.  It’s a story about a girl called Jenny who lets her her worries mount up so much that they follow her around everywhere she goes in a bag that just gets bigger and bigger.  Eventually, a kindly neighbour helps Jenny to sort through her worries making them seen not so bad after all.  we learnt that sharing our worries makes them either go away or at the very least, seem a lot smaller.
We each had a turn carrying around a huge bag of worries while we tried to get on with ordinary everyday tasks.  It was soooo hard with the bag getting in the way of everything we did and this is what carrying worries does.  It makes it hard for us to concentrate on anything else at all.  It is always best to share your worries with someone who can listen and may be able to help you.
